1949 The Hidden City Beijing
Its a shame that we don’t enough time to visit The Great Wall, The 798 Art District,
Tian An Men, The Palace Musuem…etc. These are all the places I really want to see and
I think everyone should go if they are in Beijing
So today we are in Nan Luo Gu Xiang, a long street with shops of souvenirs…
um…don’t really like it, very tourist & crowded

This chic dining district (with restaurants, bars, gallery, private members club etc…)
was a machinery and electric factory in 1949
1949 is like a village with big open space between each unit,
with some olden Chinese statues along the paths
Raw & simple! artistic & stylish!
Yes, we had Peking duck again tonight at Duck de Chine
Great ingredients, great food but not great service
Sweet bean sauce + sesame sauce + peanut sauce for Peking duck
I like Peking duck season with sugar better~
This is our last night in Beijing, I can’t wait to visit again, I like it a lot more than Shanghai,
it is actually quite different to compare with, Shanghai is more commercial,
Beijing is more artistic & subtle!! Love it!!
Peking Duck after fashion show
Last night we went to ate Peking duck after the fashion show
I had had Peking duck many times,
but this is the first time I actually see the chef roast the duck in front of me…COOL
Usually the chef will sliced the duck in front of the customer and served the crispy skin
Here in Made in China- Grad Hyatt hotel, Beijing
they serve Peking duck with sugar (it is also my first time season it with sugar),
it is so different to the normal sweet bean sauce, less greasiness with sugar,
NICE ~~ I love it with sugar more!! and I can ate a lot !!!
Today we went to a Chinese traditional courtyard house (Si he yuan) restaurant for lunch
This restaurant is call Liu’s family restaurant (liu zhai shi fu)
It saids spicy rabbit head $4 and spicy duck head $3
……rabbit head ???!!!
Hahaha this is my mum and my make up artist
the mince pork pan fried dumplings is so…delicious, I miss it already
Peking’s local lunch with super spicy fish and beer
Went back to our hotel for a spa after lunch (Thanks for the spa offer too!!)
and came for a walk around San Li Tun area at night time, in San Li Tun village south with lots of international brands, San Li Tun village north with a selection of exclusive luxury designers
Next to the San Li Tun village is the Nali mall
Love the Greek’s island decor at the Nali Boutique Cafe
The street behind the Nali mall is completely packed with people hanging around,
going in and out bars & clubs and eating (this street is full of these grill snacks stalls)

Best Shabu Shabu (pork)!
If you don’t eat beef or you love pork, this will be the best Shabu Shabu restaurant for you
everything they serve is pork!! & it is the most delicious Shabu Shabu
this is very local Japanese style restaurant at Ebisu, Tokyo
all the menus is in Japanese, it had some drawings on it,
but there are only few different dishes to order, mainly Shabu Shabu & skew (all pork)
the whole restaurant is decorated with pigs, anything with pig character
